In the heart of San Francisco’s Chinatown, Fusion Dumpling brings together Shanghai’s beloved dumpling traditions and the bold, vibrant flavors of Szechuan cuisine.
Chef Du has cooked for Chinese presidents and political leaders, and he brings that same care, skill, and understanding of Chinese flavors to every dish at Fusion Dumpling.
Our menu features Shanghai xiaolongbao filled with savory broth, golden pan-fried dumplings, rich crab roe noodles, and Szechuan pickled fish soup with its distinctive tangy broth. Each dish reflects Chef Du’s passion for sharing the flavors he knows and loves.
Whether you’re gathering over dumplings, sharing a comforting bowl of soup, or discovering a new favorite, there’s always something delicious to bring everyone together at our table.
Each dish is made to order. Seating is limited. Peak times can lead to wait times. Reservations are recommended.

Chef Truman and his team have many accolades. He is the gold medallist of the Chinese Culinary Competition, a member of the Royal International Gourmet Association of France/The Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, a Food Carving Senior Technician, and premier chef of China. From 1994 to 2003, he was invited to more than 10 countries to showcase his cooking.
